What I Lost

I have become as light as a feather
I am afraid I might blow away
I have become as dark as the weather
I wish that you would just go away
I thought I had a free ride on a cruise of pleasure
I didn’t pay, I was a stowaway
I thought I held in my hands a golden treasure
That was just something I should throw away

What I lost, I am not looking for

This is a lesson that I keep learning
It is something I should know by now
There are some bridges that just need burning
I just need someone to show me how
And even when those storms are churning
That isn’t something I should fret about
Because no matter what, this world keeps turning
So I’m packing up and I’m heading out

What I lost, I am not looking for

I’m not looking for any answers
I’m just trying to find the questions
Once again I’ve gotten totally lost
But I’m not stopping for directions
I don’t know which way to go
But I am open to suggestions

What I lost, I am not looking for
